Lengthen the trend EMA from 200 to 350 bars to filter out more marginal downtrend signals. A slower EMA will require stronger, more persistent downtrends to arm the grid, reducing the number of low-quality setups and improving the signal-to-noise ratio, which should enhance Sharpe by avoiding choppy-range whipsaws where the current 200-period EMA may flip too frequently.
